We kicked things off with a thorough garden consultation, checking the existing conditions in her raised beds and helping her understand her soil depth needs for what she wanted to grow in her small space.
We looked at the sun exposure patterns in her tiny backyard and the best way to make her garden both productive and manageable for a first-time gardener.
To maximize her space and make the garden feel approachable, we designed and installed vertical trellising for climbing veggies. But instead of just doing it for her, we did it together, which is a key difference of Grow Greenfingers from traditional landscapers!
During our garden coaching session, we:
Through hands-on garden coaching, I walked Brieze through every step.
- Selecting and sourcing the right materials for her raised beds and trellises
- Prepping soil and adding amendments for strong, healthy roots
- Planting seeds and seedlings with the reality of seasonality in mind (and how this new climate she's in works!)
- Building her confidence to care for her garden long after our session
I also shared a custom list of trusted products and local suppliers to set her up for ongoing success. And, as part of our garden friends club, we kept in touch to celebrate wins and troubleshoot along the way!
